Biofilter

A PPC Biofilter provides a pretreatment system to condition the gas stream for optimum biological parameters. This includes temperature conditioning, humidification and particulate removal. The gas stream then flows into a fixed media reactor in the Biofilter where the phase transfer and biological oxidation takes place. A Biofilter breaks down organic compounds using bacteria at ambient temperatures. This method is termed Biological Oxidation. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) such as Alcohol's, Ketones, Light and Heavy Hydrocarbons are destroyed through a process called Oxidation. There are many advantages to this system, including costing you less per ton of VOC’s removed than any other method, call us today at (903) 758-3395 to find out how a Biofilter can help your company.
