More Information

Biofiltration has many advantages over traditional VOC's and HAP destruction methods. The low temperature oxidation and high moisture content used in biofiltration technology eliminates the high treatment costs and fears associated with combustion. Because there are only two major power consumers in a biofiltration system: a recirculation pump for humidification and an air fan to pull the gas stream through the equipment, there is a low operating cost. A biofilter system has a much lower pressure drop than catalytic or regenerative thermal oxidizers; the result is a fan power consumption savings. Biofilters have very few moving parts which results in lower maintenance cost. For more on pollution control products, visit www.ppcbio.com.
