What is a Biofilter

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) such as Alcohol's, Ketones, Light & Heavy Hydrocarbons are destroyed through a process of called Oxidation.

Oxidation breaks down these organic compounds into the simplest of components:
Carbon Dioxide and Water

A Thermal Oxidizer breaks down organic compounds using extreme heat.
This method is termed Thermal Oxidation.

A Biofilter breaks down organic compounds using bacteria at ambient temperatures.
This method is termed Biological Oxidation.
